In a concerted effort to promote and strengthen synergy among implementing partners, the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Region VII successfully held its Strategic Planning Workshop on July 3–4, 2025, with Cebu Technological University as their host.
The two-day event gathered regional project leaders and teams from various implementing state universities and colleges (SUCs) across Central Visayas for intensive review, alignment, and future-proofing of program activities.
DAY 1
The first day featured structured presentations from the project teams, who shared their progress, challenges, and strategies for catching up with Year 2 targets and preparing for proposed extension activities. The sequence of presentations included Regional IPTBM – BISU, Regional ABH – BISU, Regional ATBI – CTU, IPTBM – CIT-U, IPTBM – CTU, IPTBM – HNU, IPTBM – NORSU, and ATBI – BISU. Each team highlighted their accomplishments, resource gaps, partnership engagements, and technology adoption efforts. The session culminated in an open forum that encouraged knowledge-sharing and peer-to-peer feedback to promote continuous improvement.
DAY 2
On the second day, participants engaged in collaborative planning sessions to align all key activities across the region. This included mapping out deliverables, timelines, and shared initiatives onto a unified regional calendar. The alignment of activities ensures harmonized implementation and promotes the efficient use of resources across the IPTBM, ATBI, and ABH components.
The strategic planning activity underscores RAISE’s commitment to fostering a cohesive innovation ecosystem, empowering SUCs and partner agencies to deliver responsive, sustainable, and regionally relevant agri-aqua technologies and services. The RAISE Program, funded by DOST-PCAARRD, continues to be a vital platform for enabling institutional collaboration and accelerating technology transfer in Central Visayas and beyond.
