

Baclayon, Bohol — The Bohol Island State University (BISU), through the Regional Agri-Aqua System Innovation Enhancement (RAISE) Program in Central Visayas, spearheaded the Regional Training-Writeshop on CMI Communication Plan and Sustainability Plan held on August 27–29, 2025 at the Alta Bohol Garden Resort, Baclayon, Bohol.

Representing Cebu Technological University (CTU) were members of the Regional ATBI and IPTBM project team, including Dr. Adrian P. Ybañez (Project Leader), Engr. Naomi A. Bajao, and Prof. Marlou C. Godinez, who actively participated in the writeshop alongside their regional counterparts.
The three-day activity also brought together 17 other participants representing the partner institutions of RAISE in the region. The writeshop focused on enhancing the skills of participants in designing effective communication strategies and sustainability frameworks for their respective CMI projects.
Serving as the resource speaker was Dr. Paul Jersey G. Leron, Senior Science Research Specialist of the Applied Communication Division of DOST-PCAARRD. Dr. Leron provided comprehensive inputs on communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, and long-term project sustainability, guiding participants through structured workshops and collaborative sessions.
The training-writeshop is part of RAISE’s continuing efforts to enhance collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among agri-aqua innovation stakeholders in Central Visayas. By equipping project teams with practical tools for communication and sustainability planning, the program ensures that initiatives under RAISE remain impactful and relevant beyond their implementation period.
