Nagkahiu-sang Kababayen-an sa Kabangkalan

Started with about 20 members, NAKKA was originally formed out of an Extension technology transfer conducted by the College of Technology of Cebu Technological University Danao and Tuburan Campuses.  The founders underwent training on preparing processed food out of the utility models of faculty researchers.

The business now offers a variety of processed food products with ingredients fresh from the local farmers in Kabangkalan, Tuburan, Cebu.  Most notably, their popular products include skinless chorizo, siomai, lumpia shanghai, meatballs, embutido, longganiza, and a few others more.

One of the challenges of the business is the distance of its base of operations to the market, which would entail additional cost.  Thankfully, by the end of 2024, they now have a product outlet at Tuburan Public Market, and they also struck a deal with a popular restaurant in the locality for the business to sell its products to.

NAKKA has been one of the most successful CTU-DOST-PCCARRD incubatees in Tuburan, Cebu.
